One can find the Dreadlock and Natural Barbies! They're by a woman named Vanessa!!! I love them... I can't wait to buy so I can support this Black female entrepreneur! Very Cool

I love her! I wish she was around while I was growing up! GEESH! Luckily, I came from a household where my dad was quick to throwaway the white dolls I got from my predominantly White peers as presents. I know, its extreme but he'd buy a new one in its place. I had maybe at best one white doll and I seldom played with it. We eventually tried to make it into a white Ken doll for our friend. Unsuccessfully, of course. We need a petition for Black parents and peers alike to buy Black dolls for our children. Regardless how foolish it seems, it affects our psyche.

  5. I don't think it's too much for black parents to get rid of the white dolls. In fact I think it is necessary. It's kinda strange for black children to be playing with white dolls. It creeps me out to think what effct it is having on their brains and we wonder why natural hair is so hard for us to accept.

    Peace
